'Suning to return Inter's glory'

Incoming new owner Zhang Jindong calls for a 'return to Inter's golden age' as Suning Group announce the purchase of Inter.
The Nerazzurri higher echelons held a Press conference in Nanjing to announce the new ownership, going over the details of how the club will be managed.
The conference started with a projection of various video clips showing the history of Inter.
“Thanks everyone for being here,” Jindong told the Press. “I am pleased to be here, and I'm sure nobody will ask me questions that are too serious!
“I'm excited to be part of Inter's history and I'm sure you're equally excited.
“Suning entered football only one year ago and now managed to purchase Inter. We are now part of one of the top European clubs. This will be a great surprise to all of you.
“Just before the spring festival I met President Erick Thohir, who is very enthusiastic about Inter. We enjoyed a great connection from the very beginning, and that's where my interest in Inter came from.
“I went to Italy and I met Massimo Moratti too.
“I view this as a great responsibility. We are grateful to the current President for choosing Suning among the many candidates to buy the club.
“I'd like to share the reasons why Suning are purchasing Inter. Firstly, it's part of our strategy to become leaders in the sports industry. We wish to promote the growth of this market.
“We have several strong players and international champions in the Chinese Super League, but clearly we do not compare to Serie A.
“Acquiring Inter is a great part in Suning's strategy to become a world market leader. This year, at the Suning international development summit, we decided to expand not only in Asia but also in Europe, looking at a wider market and consumer base.
“The love of sports is everywhere in the world. Inter will allow Suning to access that world.”
“What will Suning and the Chinese element bring to the world? The founders of Inter cared for internationalism from the very beginning.
“They were the first club to visit China and they are the Italian team with the greatest number of Chinese supporters.
“We believe that Inter will become even more international. We will make the club stronger.
“Suning's six branches will continue to provide Inter with resources. We will make one of the greatest clubs in Serie A and European football even stronger and more splendid.
“Moratti's Inter had very many historical and excellent players. We want to follow that model and return the club to its glorious past.
“We want to keep working with Thohir and his team.
“I was touched since I visited the stadium. Now I too am a Nerazzurro.
“Suning will be the cradle for new and greater growth.”
