Joao Mario skips Sporting training

Joao Mario reportedly skipped Sporting CP training, potentially indicating an Inter move is close.

The Portuguese international has been linked with the Nerazzurri all summer, but things appear to have developed in recent days.

This morning’s Gazzetta dello Sport reported that an offer has been accepted of   40m plus another   5m in bonuses.

Now Sky is reporting that Joao Mario isn’t training with the rest of the Sporting side today, which could be an indication he’s on the verge of completing his move to Serie A.

It’s expected that the player will earn   3m per year after tax, and has been offered a contract of five years.

The 23-year-old could arrive in Milan on Monday to take his medical and sign his contract with the Beneamata.
