Official: Inter sign Joao Mario

Sporting CP have announced the transfer of Joao Mario to Inter for   40m plus   5m bonuses.

The midfielder flew in for his medical yesterday and worked out personal terms.

The only issue was to seal the system of payment, as initially it was reported Inter wanted a   10m loan with   35m obligation to buy in 2017.

Instead, the statement from Sporting reads that “we have reached an agreement with Inter Milan for the transfer of the player Joao Mario for   45m, of which   5m is dictated by objectives.

“The club wishes Joao Mario happiness on a personal and professional level.”
