Chelsea eye up Kondogbia

Inter midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia is the latest transfer target for Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.

According to The Daily Mirror newspaper in England, Conte has targeted the 23-year-old Frenchman for the January window.

There was a bidding war for Kondogbia when he left AS Monaco in the summer of 2015, involving the likes of Milan and Arsenal, but the Nerazzurri picked him up for over   30m.

He has struggled to find form, particularly this season, when he was dropped to the bench by Frank de Boer.

New Inter boss Stefano Pioli was appointed today and it remains to be seen whether he’ll want Kondogbia in his squad.

A sale in January is entirely possible, especially as he was left off the Europa League squad to stay within Financial Fair Play parameters.
