Osvaldo: ‘Realising a dream’
By Football Italia staff
Former Juventus, Roma and Inter striker Dani Osvaldo is “realising a dream” after quitting football to be a rockstar.
The 30-year-old quit the game this summer to pursue his musical career, and spoke to Fox Sports Argentina about his decision.
“I feel like I’ve liberated a part of me,” Osvaldo said.
“I was unhappy recently, so I said ‘enough’. Now I feel calm, I’m dedicated to what I love: music.
“I wouldn’t be here and be being interviewed if I hadn’t been a footballer. Football gave me everything in life, it was a great passion and I like talking about it too.
“I loved playing football, and I was lucky enough to do it with Boca Juniors, the club of my heart. Now I’m realising this dream though, and I’m happy.
“Now I’m going for a cigarette, now that I can…”
