Gagliardini: ‘Inter can be third’
By Football Italia staff
Roberto Gagliardini believes “third place is possible” for Inter this season, as they seek Champions League qualification.
The Nerazzurri started the season poorly under Frank de Boer, but Stefano Pioli’s arrival has galvanised the squad and they’re now just two points away from third-place Napoli.
“The next game [against Palermo] is very important,” Gagliardini, a January signing from Atalanta, told SportMediaset.
“We need to give further consistency to our results, we’re coming from different wins and I think third-place is possible.”
Gagliardini has played both of the Beneamata’s matches since arriving, and admits it’s been a whirlwind.
“The last week has been full of emotions, coming to Inter and playing two games right away was beautiful. I need to be calm and keep improving.
“My parents told me just to be myself and play the way I know.”
