The project aims to provide a comprehensive solution built on IBM’s flagship business analytics technology to resolve many of the challenging issues on Mainframe capacity management as being seen by more and more customers both local and world wide especially in the banking industry (ICBC, CCB, BoC, etc). The solution will improve the process of predicting and determining the Mainframe production capacity needed to meet ever-growing transaction demands in today’s business environments. It provides an automated capacity management solution on Mainframe through data correlation analysis, trend identification, “what-if” analysis, simulation, forecasting models, and on-demand reporting.

This internship position is opened to the talents in Data warehouse building, Reporting Design for the solution. We have IBM experts serving as mentors for completing the project.

Required Skills

Postgraduates in CS or EE
Quick Learning and hands on skills
Rich experience in database, Linux, Windows and system software
BI project experiences either for Data visualization, OLAP analysis or ETL
Data warehouse modeling skills, familiar with star schema
BI tools experience in Data vitalization, OLAP analysis or ETL
Good spoken and written English
Dedication and teamwork
J2EE programing knowledge is a plus
Data statistic and mining knowledge is a plus but not a must
z/OS background is preferred but not a must, we scheduled training for talents with closely background, such as development or administration experiences on Linux/Unix.    
 
Internship Duration: July 2011 ~ December 2011, no less than 4 days per week is a must for this position.
