Developer for CWTLT innovation projects:
Job description
CWTLT (CDL WebSphere Technical Leadership Team) consists of technical leaders across all CDL WebSphere development teams. It aims to be innovation engine with technical and market insight, impacting wider teams, and building technical climate across CDL WebSphere organizations.
CWTLT is initiating some incubating projects based on internal innovation proposals. These projects will focus on Cloud, Z, and Mobile areas.
Job Responsibilities
Interns in this role will apply software design and development skills to conduct CWTLT innovation projects. Must be highly flexible and able to move between projects and learn new technologies easily. Individual needs to be highly motivated and able to work well with a fast pace team. Required skills include knowledge of Cloud fundamental, mobile platforms, Web 2.0, Z, and Java. Preferred languages include Java; JavaScript, C, and/or objective C.
Interns will do investigation, development, documentation, in the area they own.
Job Requirements (By projects)
1, For Cloud Area projects.
Experience on Java and Web 2.0 related development skill such as dojo, widget
Familiar with web service and SOA related technology such as ESB
Familiar with IBM products such as WID is a strong plus
Understand cloud related concepts and technologies is plus
Quick learner and self motivated
2, For Z area projects.
Solid knowledge in data structure and software algorithm
Solid knowledge in C/C++ development on UNIX/Linux platform.
Basic knowledge in UNIX/Linux platform
Basic knowledge in Web Services and network protocols
Quick learner and good reading capacity for English technical materials
Apache knowledge is a plus
Mainframe knowledge is a plus
3, For Mobile area projects
Solid knowledge in Java development
Solid knowledge in Javascript development
Basic knowledge in mobile platforms (iPhone, Android)
PhoneGAP knowledge is a plus.
Non-Technical Qualities:
1) Quick learner
2) Good team player and willing to take responsibilities
3) Creative thinking and passion for technologies
4) Fluent English speaking, listening and writing
Education/Major)
Bachelor's Degree OR Master's degree in CS related majors in software industry
Time required: from 2011.8 to 2012.1, at least 4 days a week
