Job Description
Customer Information Control System (CICS) is a transaction server that runs primarily on IBM mainframe systems under z/OS and z/VSE. CICS is a transaction manager designed for rapid, high-volume online processing. It can execute a large volume of mixed languages applications with optimal performance and operational efficiency. CICS has more than 40 years history and over 90 percent of Fortune 500 companies are reported to rely on CICS (running on z/OS) for their core business functions.
CDL CICS team mainly focuses on functional testing, system testing, development and L3 support for CICS TS. This is a great opportunity to participate in the release process of CICS on z/OS, one of the most successful transaction servers in the history, and build expert level skills about transaction processing technology.
Job Responsibility
We are seeking for candidates who will graduate in 18 months’ time with strong self-motivation, technical skills and willing to gradually take the responsibility of functional testing, system testing or development for CICS transaction server for z/OS.
We expect the candidates can quickly build the capabilities to work as CICS development engineers, which may includes but not limited with
- Functional verification work with ownership
Analyze requirement and design document, generate test plan and test strategy
Design test cases, prepare test programs and execute test cases
Ensure the quality level of the component meet the quality plan
- Development work with ownership
Analyze requirement and produce design document
Develop high quality codes
Ensure complete unit test for the new functions developed
Technical Skills
Solid knowledge in computer science
Solid knowledge in algorithm
Experienced in one major programming language: C, C++, ASM, COBOL or Java
Knowledge in z/OS, Unix/Linux is a big plus
Knowledge in CICS is a big plus
Non-Technical Skills
Quick learner
Good team player and willing to take responsibilities
Creative thinking and passion for technologies
Fluent English speaking, listening and writing
Education/Major
Computer science or related major
Bachelor’s degree or above
Time required
At least 4 days per week from 2011.8 to 2012.8
