Position Summary:
Are you passionate about various Adobe products like Photoshop, Acrobat and Flash technology? Are you interested in Web 2.0 interfaces and software development? Do you want to be an integral part of the team that is delivering the most widely distributed software in the world? Adobe is looking for intern as Quality Engineer to make a big impact on Adobe multiple languages products. As part of the team, you will interact with other product teams at various campuses to help release various languages version of Adobe products. In this role, you will review the software requirements from globalization perspective, help to reviewing and/or creating globalization test plan; reviewing or creating automated and manual test cases; executing test cases and certifying various languages software for shipment. If you enjoy working with advanced technologies, aren’t intimidated by aggressive goals, and have a proven commitment to delivery great software, this may be the role for you.
Responsibilities:
- Get familiar with automation testing framework and review and executing existing automated test scripts
- Create comprehensive automated and manual test cases, validating both new and legacy functionalities
- Develop globalization testing toolkits to improve testing efficiency
- Execute existing test cases, with a meticulous attention to detail, for all areas of the product
- Follow test process for globalization testing to ensure software quality
- Perform research to build local end user scenarios for Adobe products
- Analyze test results and write detailed defect reports that accurately isolate issues
- Conduct competitive analysis on other technologies
Desired Technical Skills:
- A passionate person in new technology, technical oriented.
- Must have development experiences in building applications using web technologies such as XML, HTML, Java, C++, Javascript, familiar with FLEX is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of more than one core operating system (Win/Unix), familiar with MAC is a plus.
-Must be a quick learner and able to transform a simple example into a comprehensive test suite that fully exercises a defined set of functionality.
- Strong desire to learn about delivering a product to market
Desired Non-Technical Skills:
- Good verbal and written English communication skill
- Proactive and positive attitude
- Should be strong communicator and able to articulate ideas clearly
- Knowledge in other foreign languages beside English is a plus, e.g. Japanese, Korean, French, German, etc.
- Great team player
Educational Requirements:
- Must be working towards a Master Degree in computer science or other relevant technical majors and graduating in March 2013 – July 2014
- Must work four days per week at least
- Must work continuously for 6 months at least
- Must obtain your tutor’s approval
