POSITION TITLE:    Student Intern – Shanghai Office
REPORTS TO:    Partner in Charge – Shanghai Office

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. This is student intern level position.
2. Legal research and prepare legal documents for multinational companies in one or more of the following areas: business transactions (joint venture and M&A); employment law; land use right, real estate and construction; general corporate set-up and maintenance; leases; interfacing with Chinese officials regarding compliance issues; environmental law; foreign exchanges; intellectual property right and licencing, e-commerce, international trade and distribution; banking; insurance; and financing.

QUALIFICATIONS:


1. A law degree from a China law school and/or LL.M. or JD from a U.S. law school
2. Internship experience with major international law firms preferred
3. Fluency in both oral and written Chinese and English
