Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and test the core components of big data cloud processing framework, i.e. hadoop,  on vsphere, vcloud and Cloud Foundry
- Become expert in large scale parallel data processing stacks, as well as the relevant technologies like HIVE, HBase, PIG and Oozie.
- Stay current on key trends in technology especially in the area of big data storage. Familiar with various new modern data types regardless non-structured or semi-structured.
- Understand underneath data storage systems well.
- Participate in community facing support forums, evangelism opportunities, and social media

Requirements
- PhD/MS/BS in Computer Science preferred, or equivalent experience
- Passion for new technologies. Knowledge in building web 2.0 applications with intensive large scale data processing that includes capturing, modeling, storing and analyzing is a plus
- Passion for distributed systems and operating systems with some hands on experience in school or the workplace
- Fluency across a range of programming languages, comfortable picking up new languages quickly.
- Experience working on a large scale distributed systems is a plus.
