Urban Planning/ Transportation Intern, World Resource Institute
The World Resource Institute China Program is seeking one highly motivated and self-driven intern for its Beijing Office to conduct data analysis and research in support of its sustainable transportation program.
Main duties:
1. directly participate in transportation and urban development project undergoing in Qingdao, China.
2. collect and compile transportation and city planning data.
3. conduct policy-oriented research and analysis with a particular focus on traffic congestion and built environment.
Requirements:
1. Graduate-level student from an accredited university working towards\obtained a transportation or urban planning degree
2. Knowledge of urban planning / transportation principles and implementation process in China.
3. Excellent quantitative abilities.
4. Familiarity with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and Excel. Experiences with TransCAD is a plus, but not required.
5. Proficiency in Chinese and English, with strong oral and written communication skills.
The internship will last 8 to 12 weeks (40 hrs a week). Reasonable compensation will be provided on a monthly basis. Excellent individuals will be considered for a full-time position with WRI China Office.
