Job Description:
Looking to be part of a unique opportunity to focus on the new technologies in the storage area, EMC’s Enterprise Storage Division is seeking talented engineers with world-class programming and communication skills. We are looking for Software Quality Engineer to work in our Beijing COE.
The individual would be joining a test development and planning team that is responsible for designing and implementing functional tests .The candidate should have the technical understanding to work directly with software developers to influence design changes to improve quality and testability of the software. The candidate must demonstrate flexibility, strong motivation and record of meeting aggressive deadlines .
Responsibilities
o Works directly with appropriate developers to understand project concept, objectives and approach of software development projects.
o Develops automated test case using commercial tools, scripts and data set. Writes and maintains test automation.
o Isolate, reproduce and track bugs and verify bug fixes;
Experience and Education
o B.S. Computer Science or equivalent; MS preferred.
o Good communication skills, good in written and oral English
Required Skills
o Looking for engineers with software development/software testing experience/interest. Perl, java ,C,C++, shell programming
o Work effectively in Unix/Linux environment with the ability to troubleshoot the OS environment (Solaris, Linux, AIX and HPUX.)
o Strong working knowledge of web services testing, like SOAP and REST.
o Strong attention to details
o Willing to be QA
o A good understanding of QA process and software development life cycle
o Comfortable working to handle the concurrent products/releases and manage the priorities changes
Desirable Skills
o Familiar with storage, storage management and system management is a plus.
o Familiar with virtualization technologies is a plus.
