微软亚洲研究院“明日之星”实习生项目
Microsoft Research Asia is recruiting interns for Stars of Tomorrow Internship Program.
微软亚洲研究院是微软公司在美国本土之外最大的基础科研机构，被美国著名技术杂志MIT 《Technology Review》誉为“世界上最火的计算机实验室”。 自1998年成立以来，启动了面向亚太区高校博士生、硕士生和优秀本科生的“明日之星”实习生项目。该项目由微软亚洲研究院和国内外高校共同执行，旨在培养高素质的计算机基础研究人才。实习生进入微软亚洲研究院后深入到每个研究小组进行为期三个月或更长时间的实习。截止至2011年9月，已有4000名来自亚太区高校的学生到微软亚洲研究院实习，平均每年有400个实习机会开放给所有的学生。

Position: Full-time Intern
Group: Hardware Computing Group
Work Location: Beijing
Group Overview
Hardware Computing Group is directed by Dr. Feng-Hsiung Hsu, who is the father of the chess machine – Deep Blue. The primary goal of the group is to:
- Push forward the state of the art in hardware computing to innovate in software services and to realize novel devices.
- Research fundamental computer architecture, identifies hardware opportunities in specific services, and builds integrated system solutions.
- Extrapolate device trends, study new interaction models, and construct working prototypes. The end goal is to deliver rich and responsive user experiences at work, at home, and on the move.
Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for proactive fresh young minds to working with us and building the next generation of specialized device/system; the successful internship candidate will be working with group of talented researchers and engineers to develop, implement and evaluate the stereo vision algorithms. Desired candidate should have good analytical skills with can-do attitude. If you are a good self-starter searching for the rewarding experience then we are looking for you.
Required Qualifications:
o Electrical Engineering or Computer Sciences Background
o Research experience at stereo vision or image/video processing.
o Proficient at software programming in C/C++/C#
o Excellent communication skill and able to working at a strong teamwork environment
o Requires your advisor’s approval and can commit at least 6 months as fulltime internship.
