VMwareis seeking talented Computer Science or Computer Engineering interns to joinour ESX QA team. As one of our R&D Engineers, you will be responsible fortesting the delivery of our enterprise product set (ESX,ESXi). This includestest design, test development, test execution and test automation. You willwork closely with other developers and help ship products of very high quality.
Responsibilities:

Design and develop solution orsoftware in storage, networking, and server domains for enablinghardware-partner technologies in VMware next generation virtualization andcloud products
·
Bring value-add to VMware productsby removing technology gap and challenges identified via collaboration withpartners and OEMs
·
Provide architecture-levelguidance and advanced development consultation for partner custom projects toenable them to become self-sufficient in long-term
·
Collaborate with domain engineeringteams and leverage their expertise to accelerate and scale the technologyenablement work for global and regional partners
·
Work with multiplegroups/engineers across sites toward accomplishing work as one team
·
Create and deliver high qualitydocumentation of APIs and development kits, and sample code to partners forefficient self-enablement

Requirements:
·
Majoring in Computer Science orrelated is required
·
Able to work full-time for 6months or longer
·
Linux/Unix and Windowsenvironments and OS knowledge
·
Working knowledge and hands-oncoding experience in one or more of the following programming: C/C++, Java, Shellscript
·
Understanding of PC peripherals(storage, USB, etc)
·
Networking knowledge
·
Good troubleshooting and debuggingskills to find the root cause
·
Excellent written and verbalEnglish communications and organization skills
·
Knowledge of software life-cycleis a plus
·
Must be effective in working bothas individual contributor independently on delivering projects and in a teamsetting when engaging with joint project with other teams and partners
Excellent interpersonal and communication skill.
