Prerequisites:
1. Be able to work over 3 days a week for at least 3 months (some positions require at least 6 months).
2. Enrolled as student during the whole internship period.
Position Summary:

Yahoo! Global R&D Center in Beijing is fully owned and operated by United States based Yahoo! Inc. The advertising technology group is in charge of building massive parallel software running on clusters containing thousands of nodes with petabytes of high-value data and serving billions of transactions every day.
We are seeking full time interns who have solid software development training to help improve the backend optimization system.
Requirements:
1. Good programming skills using C/C++.
2. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
3. Good communication and teamwork spirit.
4. Minimum 6-month full-time availability.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
1. M.S. or PhD candidate in Computer Science or related fields.
2. Solid understanding of Machine Learning, Data Mining, or Computational Optimization.
3. Fluent in a scripting language such as Python, Perl, or UNIX shell.
4. Prior exposure to Hadoop and distributed programming.
