Job Title: Intern
Position Code: ST1305
Section: ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) Team
Location: Beijing

Responsibilities

1.Research and rate the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)
performance of publicly traded companies in mainland China, Hong Kong and
Taiwan
2. Prepare company profiles based on the assessments of publicly disclosed
sources: annual and sustainability reports, corporate communications, media
articles, academic and NGO studies
3. Assist in producing regular news screening reports, including collecting
and translating controversial news
4. Support other research projects as needed

Requirements

1. Advanced academic background in related field (business, finance,
environment and/or social sciences)
2. Strong interest in sustainable development
3. Understand how Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors might
impact investment results, and the specific challenges and opportunities for
the Asian region (carbon, water, etc)
4. Knowledge of the financial service industry, Asia’s sustainable
investment market and China’s growing sustainability investment
opportunities (mutual funds, indexes etc) will be an advantage
5. Strong skills in company research, information collecting and analytic
reasoning etc.
6. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
7. Proficiency in both Mandarin and English
8. Attention to detail and capable of handling multiple projects
