Overview / Primary Responsibilities:
We are looking for a user experience research intern to join our O365 team he
re in Beijing, China. The ideal candidate for this position has experience in
research methods, human computer interaction and a passion for bringing the
end users voice to developing great products. He/she will have demonstrated s
trong empathy with the user audience, driven solid research studies involving
humans and technology and able to effectively communicate these studies in E
nglish. The candidate will have the opportunity to conduct many types of rese
arch such as contextual inquiry site visits, concept and scenario focus group
s, iterating design through usability and A/B testing, surveys and competitiv
e research. He/she will need to glean insight from this research to help move
the product forward. The User Experience research intern will work closely
with interaction designers, other user researchers, program managers & softwa
re engineers in a highly collaborative environment. The position requires the
need to be organized, detail-oriented & results-driven. Passion for our cust
omers and for consumers who want great user experiences is fundamental for th
is role.
Qualifications:
o Working towards a Master’s degree in Psychology, Human Factors, User
Research or related field
o A hands-on approach to user research, with demonstrated skill in coll
ecting and analyzing human behavioral data to determine user intent
o Strong project management, communication and presentation skills in E
nglish
o Strong empathy for end user experiences and ability to quickly build
rapport with research participants of varied backgrounds and cultures
o Some experience in usability testing tools, contextual inquiry method
ology and/or survey methodology
o Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
