The big data labs in EMC labs China is a research and development lab for big data management and mining. Our focus includes, but not limited to, big data collection/management, big data/cloud computing platform, parallel data mining, and interactive visual data mining for big data. We invite applications for an internship in the aforementioned area of big data.

Number of interns wanted: 4
Location:  Beijing
Duration: 6 Months at least

We expect applications having multiple (but not all) skills listed below
* Parallel Data Mining Skills
o    Data Mining Background, familiar with algorithms such as SVM, Random Forest
o    Hands-on experience with Linux, hadoop cluster,
o    Hands-on experience with Apache/Mahout
o    Comfortable for development with Apache/hadoop
* Web Service Development
o    Development experience with HTML/CSS/JS
o    Familiar with JavaScript frameworks such as JQuery
o    Development experience with server-end tech such as Servelet
* UI Design/ Visualization
o    Ability to write high-performance, reusable code for UI components
o    Data visualization skill such as D3.js
