NRC Radio Systems laboratory drives and secures the innovativeness and competitiveness of wireless communication solutions for Nokia's products. NRC Radio Systems' main objectives are to create radio innovations and to ensure fast commercialization of new radio enabled differentiating solutions. NRC Radio Systems also explores new technological opportunities and solve scientific problems in cognitive radio networks, an area which is likely to play a dominant role in future communication systems. NRC Radio Systems Laboratory is located in three countries: Finland, USA and China.
3GPP Radio Access China team within Radio Systems laboratory has the mission to carry out world-class research and contribute towards future radio standards, especially related with 3GPP standardization. Meanwhile, by leveraging the geographical advantage, we are also expected to significantly contribute to 3GPP TD-LTE technology and its evolution.
Qualifications
Your responsibility as the Research Intern of 3GPP Radio Access China research team is to contribute in the following ways:
o Contribute to novel radio system concepts and submit their corresponding invention reports and provide proof-of-concepts by link-level or system-level simulations
o Contribute to standards contributions with simulation results under the guidance of supervisors
o Writing publications about the new results when appropriate
Key competencies for the job:
We are looking for Research Intern with a strong track record to join our team. To be eligible, you shall have
o A bachelor's degree and now a student of Master or PhD course in radio communications, telecommunications, electrical engineering, or a related field.
o Good verbal and written communication skills in English
o Very good understanding or thesis experience in either one of wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi, WCDMA/HSPA/LTE technologies
o Very good knowledge of wireless communication systems in general
o Strong experience in PHY layer viasystem-level or link-levelsimulations
o Familiar with TD-LTE is a good plus
Working place:
We are now in Beijing economic development area (BDA, Yi Zhuang) office and will move to Nokia HePingLi office (Dongcheng district) in October, 2013.
