We are the Skype Beijing team. Skype division drives the communications strategy for Microsoft and has a vision is to “be the global communications provider that billions of people depend on every day for sharing experiences from the living room to the boardroom.”

Skype has been rapidly growing its user base and it has more than 300 million actives users around the globe now. One third of international calls were made on Skype. Not long ago, Skype has reached a huge milestone of two billions call minutes per day. Skype’s business solution, Lync, is one of the fastest growing businesses in Microsoft and is “probably the most important things to happen for the office worker since the PC came along. (Bill Gates)”. 90% of the Fortune 100 companies and 70% of the Fortune 500 companies are Lync customers and the recent Lync 2013 release was a huge success with great service offering and cross platform support.

Skype Beijing team contributes to Skype global R&D in three areas. We have a large team working on Big Data. The team builds a state of the art big data platform that spans across the full big data problem space. We collect, store, process, analyze and mine the data to enable Skype organization to adopt a data-driven culture at building, running, and selling the services efficiently with the best return of investment. We have a very experienced IT pro experience team that produces a full set of tools that enable administrators to efficiently and easily manage their Lync deployments and services and helps their users to have the best communications experiences. We also have a newly created cloud voice team that is chartered to bring the success of Lync voice from on-prem to Lync Online in Office 365 to provide powerful voice solution in cloud with great security, reliability, manageability and interoperability.

We are looking for talented and passionate SDET Intern with the following qualification:

1+ years of software development experience.
Fast learning skills, skillful coding skills in C# or C++ and hands-on experiences with .NET based application development.
Good knowledge of SQL, Web programming.
Experience of Cosmos, Hadoop and Azure is a plus
BS or MS in computer science, related degree or equivalent work experience
Able to work as full time intern for at least 3 month. 6 month+ is plus.
