Position Description
Title:   Junior Financial Engineer (Intern, Beijing office)
Company: Magnetar (Beijing) Information Consultancy Co., Ltd.

Magnetar (Beijing) is looking for one or two highly-motivated and detail-oriented individuals to perform data and risk analysis for the firm’s equities-oriented trading desks. In addition, interns will be asked to conduct various types of research on quantitative equities strategies.
Qualified candidates will be paid a competitive salary. More importantly, successful candidates will benefit from exposure to sophisticated equities analysis methods, as well as regular interaction with fund managers and senior financial engineers. Interns who demonstrate leadership, dedication, and ability to consistently deliver high-quality results will be considered for full-time employment upon graduation.
Qualifications
Prospective candidates will be interviewed on company premises, and are expected to meet or exceed the qualifications listed below.
1.Graduate students in Master’s programs at top-tier universities in China (graduating in 2015)
2.Strong computer science background with excellent proficiency in SQL, Matlab and VBA
3.Strong finance background with excellent proficiency in mathematics and equities
4.Excellent proficiency in English language, especially reading and writing skills
5.Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office products is required
6.Must be a self-starter and a quick learner
7.Must exhibit extraordinary attention to detail
8.Must be capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
