Clean Air Asia (CAA) is seeking a transport program intern with possibility of extension to full-time employment. This intern, to be based in Clean Air Asia's Beijing office, will be responsible for research and support to CAA's China projects, as well as to its projects across Asia. As a result, the intern, in addition to having deep interest in the use and emissions of vehicles and fuels as well as transportation system, should have both native language skills in Mandarin Chinese as well as a high skill level in English. Work experience is not necessary, but a natural curiosity about transportation and the environment, and a willingness to ask questions and strive for high quality is mandatory.
The intern should be a recent graduate of a Bachelor's or Master's program in science or engineering related to transportation, planning or environment, from a university either in China or abroad, and have an interest in international policy on pollution and climate change.
In addition to research responsibilities, the transport intern will have administrative responsibilities that will account for approximately 25% of his or her time.
Clean Air Asia's transportation program is made up of three components: Green Freight and Logistics, Clean Fuels and Vehicles, and Low Emissions Urban Development, and our style of work is to enable partnerships through relationship building and technical assistance where necessary to achieve our goals.
