SDS Ventures has two main types of projects:
Corporate Finance - fund raising, financial & strategic advisory, M&A
Venturing – with investors, we build companies from the ground through hands-on involvement.
  
Examples of projects:
o    Clean Coal: appointed as CFO for the Asia business of a coal-dust solutions company. The main activities comprise of managing finances, fundraising and business development
o    PV Solar industry: mandated as financial advisor in charge of structuring and negotiating the equity and debt financing for a utility scale PV solar project in SE Asia
o    Sustainable agriculture: Raising funds for a leading European company in the vegetable industry
o    Structuring a RMB 1 billion joint Venture Capital Fund between a European and Chinese investment fund

Job description:
o    Perform research on specific companies and/or industries  
o    Support internal decision-making and financial processes
o    Support business development for specific clean tech company market introduction
o    Monitor and report on relevant news in Chinese media
o    Support the actualization and optimization of marketing material (ppt’s, website)
o    Support the translation of documentation
o    Occasionally support in daily office tasks e.g. reservations etc.

o    Internship is for 6 months, 4 or 5 days/week. Alternative durations and combining the internship with writing a thesis can be discussed.
o    Remuneration of 1500 RMB per month
  
Requirements
o    Native in Chinese
o    Good command of English
o    Interest in finance and sustainability
o    Strong communication skills
o    Proactive attitude
o    Eager and able to learn quickly
o    Flexible and able to work independently
