Internship Programme 2013

BT became the sole sponsor of Advanced ICT Lab in School of Economics & Management on 20th September 2012, which is a milestone after years of collaboration between Tsinghua University and BT.
Based in Beijing, BT China Research Centre (CRC) is an innovation corridor, bringing BT’s innovations to China, at the same time reflecting Chinese innovations and market knowledge back to BT. Summer Internship Programme 2013 is part of CRC’s efforts on collaborating with Chinese universities on joint research and finding out outstanding talents. All the research project assignments for the intern students are the challenges in real business environment and BT provide one-to-one mentoring on each project. The Programme will provide candidates with precious working experience in the world leading MNCs.
BT CRC is offering 2 posts for the intern students:
Key responsibilities
? To understand BT project owner’s requirements and ensure they are met.
? To deliver project work to time , as agreed with BT project owner.
? To report progress of project work to the project manager on the weekly basis through
Telepresence, live meeting or audio calls.
? To provide Consultancy on his/her area of expertise to the assigned project as required.
Qualifications
University level: 3rd year undergraduate or above
Requirements
o Have interests in the innovations in Information and Communication Technologies.
o Good communication skills.
o A team worker, fast learner, enthusiastic, self-motivated with attention to detail.
o Have enough free time, to be able to work continuously for at least 3 months starting from November 2013, and Work for longer than three days a week a week either at at Advanced ICT Lab (Room 135, Wei Lun Building, Tsinghua University) or on campus.
o Requirements for Technical Research posts:
? Degrees in Computer Science and Engineering or related fields.
? Strong programming skills (especially e.g. Java, J2EE (servlet, spring, hibernate, struts
, log, etc), Database (mysql),CSS+ JavaScript+ HTML, Web UI & Interactive Design)
? Experiences in web portal design
