JOBDESCRIPTION
Support building and maintaining GHS' onlinemedia presence in China, by creating and maintaining:
o Chinese language section on GHSmain website, listing the main areas of expertise, and services available toChinese clients
o Presence on Chinese socialmedia (Weibo and WeChat), with translations of GHS’ twitter feed and otherinternational information sources, and added context for Chinese audienceswhere appropriate, as well as content highlighting GHS Beijing’s work in China.
LEARNINGOPPORTUNITIES
o Contribute to GHS’ media strategyin China around social media.
o Participate in key discussionsand events with various stakeholders, as they occur.
o Gain in-depth understanding of mediastrategies to elevate global health issues and play a role in identifyingsolutions and responses.
QUALIFICATIONS& SKILLS
o 3rd year of bachelor's degreeor above. Communications, journalism or related fields considered an advantage
o Native Chinese speaker, workingknowledge of English
o High degree of familiarity withthe Chinese internet and social media (knowledge on globalhealth issues, or experience in online marketing via Chinese socialmedia, is a plus)
o Proven ability to deliverquality results on assignments, unsupervised and independently
o A flexible schedule whichallows for delivering certain assignments under tight deadlines, while at othertimes having more time off
o Interest and passion for globalhealth issues
