Group Overview:
The Knowledge Mining (KM) group at Microsoft Research Asia
aims to understand and serve the world through knowledge
discovery and data mining. It consists of a team of
interdisciplinary researchers spanning data mining, machine
learning, natural language processing, information retrieval
and social computing areas. In particular, the group is
devoted to the following research directions: web-scale
entity search and knowledge mining, semantic computing
framework for real world applications and services, user
understanding from large scale human behavior data.

Required Qualifications:
-MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science or any
related technical field
-Good reading, written, and oral English;
-Solid mathematics (linear algebra, optimization, statistics)
-Background in machine learning (clustering, learning,
classification)
-Good programming skills or have related project experience;
-Good communication skills and excellent teamwork;
-Can commit at least 6 months internship, can get your
advisor’s approval.
