Job Description: Finance Analyst Intern Based in Tokyo (Japan)
Context::

Essential missions:
The intern will join the Schneider Electric Finance team in Tokyo (Japan), for a six month period.
Support and improve performance analysis in Japan.
Intern would be part of the controlling team assisting FPA and business controller in their mission around two key axis. Depending on priority at the time of training the mission will focus on one or several of these topics.
1.Assist controller in FPA activity such as :
Monthly closing process and month end close.
Analysis of performance covering operational business areas = growth, margin, SFC, or working capital.
Create management and control report to share with key stakeholder the performance.
Ad hoc analysis.
2.Miscellanous transversal Project
Contribute to transversal project aiming at better controls, policy or efficiency.
Example of potential topics = Revisit the process-workflows from purchase requisition to final PO clearance // Review policy for revenue recognition for SW and services // Organize sharing plateform to put information in common // Help to frame and then transfer some reporting to shared services center in low cost country.
Profile & Skills:
Academic : MSc/BSc in Finance/Control or Business with some focus on Finance/Control
Language: English ( MUST), Japanese (Preferred)
Computer skills: Strong MS Excel a must, SAP, ESSBASE a plus.
International experience: Required
Mission Duration and Environment:
6 months (renewal or 1 year may be possible)

Context::
Schneider Electric is a global leader in the industrial Human Machine Interface with 2 brands of industrial Touch Panels (HMI) and Industrial PCs (IPC).
Schneider Electric is entering the process of an internal business audit about its offer coverage to find potential inconsistencies between current positions and the strategic intents.
Essential missions:
The geographical scope of this position is Global.
There are 3 main missions:
Under the supervision of the Strategic Marketing team and in collaboration with the Finance and Business Intelligence teams:
1.Collect and interpret data to build up a clear screenshot of the actual status of the business with regard to each of the lines of products (HMI and IPC)
Make a Geography business analysis
Make a Segment business analysis
2.Based on the analysis results, propose improvement guidelines and eventually start enforcement with the Strategic Marketing & Business Development teams.
3.Ensure sustainability of the process for a yearly update to be done by the different stakeholders.
