Strategy & Business Development (SBD) is one of the key functions for Pfizer
China, reporting directly to Pfizer China Regional President. The Strategy te
am sits within SBD. The mission of the Strategy team is to accelerate busine
ss growth for Pfizer China through exploring new opportunities and innovating
the commercial model. The team has led many projects with significant impa
c
t for the business, including broader market and channel expansion, governmen
t collaborations on disease management, innovative forms of patient engagemen
t, etc.
[Role description]
The Strategy Associate role will be part of the Strategy team and its affilia
ted Project Management Office (PMO), responsible for helping design and execu
te key strategic initiatives. Through this role, you will (1) deeply understa
nd the commercial models and the industry dynamics associated with Pfizer and
China’s healthcare ecosystem; (2) develop well-rounded capabilities, parti
c
ularly in strategic analytics and project management; and (3) accumulate dive
rse international business experience and be exposed to the unique culture of
a leading multinational company.
Key job activities include:
1） As a core member of the Strategy and PMO team, contribute to the end-t
o-e
nd strategy development and execution process, including early-stage research
and data gathering; mid-stage analysis, synthesis, and go-forward recommend
a
tion; and implementation-stage pilots and execution follow-up.
2） A primary responsibility and involvement will be in implementation-sta
ge
pilots and execution follow-up. Working together with the project implementat
ion lead, perform data analytics, progress monitoring, cross-functional coord
ination, and issue resolution.
[Qualifications]
This will be a full-time role starting immediately. However, for students gr
aduating in 2015, you may be considered for an opportunity to serve as full-t
ime intern prior to graduation (working 4-5 days a week) and join us formally
post-graduation.
Key qualifications include:
1） Bachelor degree or above in relevant studies such as business, marketi
ng,
economics, biology & medicine, and mathematics
2） Strong communication and coordination skills
3） Data analysis skills and logical, creative thinking
4） Problem-solving mindset and capability
5） Consulting or finance-related experience a PLUS
6） Project management experience a PLUS
7） Proficiency in English
