Cisco Data Analytics Business Group (DABG) offers the big data real time analytics solutions including retail, healthcare, stadium, service provider, call center, and more.
We are looking for self-motivated and energetic software engineers to join our software development team working on big data analytics product. We can provide great opportunities for learning, career development and advancement. In addition to learning about the latest industry technologies, there are many opportunities for continual technical development, career development and advancement through ongoing training and various challenging assignments.

Responsibilities:
o    Work with data science team to develop algorithms for failure analytics
o    Develop reliable components to process and analyze large scale unstructured text data
o    Full-time intern for 6 months

Requirements:
Must have skill/experiences
o    Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms
o    Good knowledge of data mining / machine learning algorithms
o    Knowledge of big data platforms and tools (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc.)
o    Excellent programming skills in Python, R or Java
o    Strong self-learning ability and good team spirit
o    Good English skills

Good to have skill/experiences
o    Strong data mining  / machine learning / NLP background
o    Publications in top conferences/journals

Educational Background：
o    Typically requires CS, EE or other equivalent majors
o    PhD student
