Description:
Akuna is currently looking for a motivated developer to join our engineering team and contribute to the build-out of our proprietary options market-making trading platform infrastructure. Your role will focus on analysis, design, implementation, testing and delivery of key trading system technology using the latest technologies. A pragmatic approach to technology solutions, using the latest open source software will be required. The successful candidate will be given a unique level of exposure to an industry-leading team of options traders who participate fully in the design and on-going enhancements to our proprietary trading platform.
Key Skills & Responsibilities:
o Understanding of data structures and algorithms
o Familiar with “low latency”, Linux
o Practical use of multi-threaded / multi-core programming paradigms
o Object-oriented design and programming
o Distributed programming experience
o Familiar with Object databases or similar
o Experience with Linux and Python required
o Ability to work well with others
o Good problem solving ability
o Proficient in oral and written English
Job Requirements:
o Plan, design and implement high quality Linux services
o Build software using Agile methodologies
o Participate in design sessions and code reviews
o Work on cross-functional teams
o Solve complex problems and troubleshoot issues
o Be capable of wearing “multiple hats” of responsibility
o Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent field required
o 3+ years‘ experience in developing applications in C++ for C++ Engineer, 8+ years ‘experience for Senior C++ Engineer
o If you have experience in investment bank or trading system development, it will be a big plus
