Job summary

The Red Hat Quality Engineering team is seeking a Quality Engineering Intern to join us in Beijing, China. In this internship, you will work with a team responsible for testing Red Hat's cutting-edge Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), OpenShift. As an intern, you will perform function, integration, and performance testing on OpenShift. This role is ideal for a student interested in a career in software testing. You'll test and improve components of our virtualization technologies alongside some of the brightest developers in the open source community.
Primary job responsibilities

    Conduct tests and develop automated tests
    Analyze, report, and track bugs
    Conduct feature research and design test cases
    Perform and maintain test cases and scripts, both manual and automatic

Required skills

    Interest in testing, including demonstrated basic knowledge of various testing techniques
    Basic knowledge of one or more scripting languages like Python, Ruby, Bash, or shell
    Familiarity with a wide variety of Linux components and able to comfortably work in a Linux environment on a daily basis
    Available on 4+ working days per week for 6+ months
    Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
    Knowledge of MySQL, Eclipse, JBoss, Selenium, or cucumber is a plus
