We are looking for an experienced software engineer and architect to design, develop, and extend the hardware/software platform and traffic generation engines for Spirent TestCenter.
The successful candidate will own the design and implementation of software applications, user interfaces, and tools for our flagship enterprise product. He/she must be able to provide accurate forecasts of work effort and clearly communicate implementation risks and design trade-offs. Most importantly, the successful candidate for this position must demonstrate technical leadership for delivering high-quality software.
Major Responsibilities:
Deliver product architecture, design, and handle all phases of the development process starting from prototyping to implementation, unit testing, integration testing and bug fixing.
Design and/or refactor software that contains the data model, test methodology, etc.
Work as part of a global Engineering Team in an Agile/Scrum environment throughout the design and implementation process.
Qualifications Desired:
Education:
BSEE/BSCS required. MSEE/MSCS desired.
Experience:
4+ years of professional experience as a hands-on software engineer.
Skills (Hardware, Software, Machine operations, etc.):
Mandatory:
Embedded Linux development using C/C++ /C# with experience in low-level hardwire driver debugging
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Solid Knowledge in TCP/IP and networking programming
Work effectively with team members in a multi-site development environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication in both Mandarin and English
Solid knowledge and hands-on experience of software engineering principles
Ability to adapt to fast-paced development environments and new technologies
