ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
Freewheel Media, Inc., a leading fast growing Video Adserving company is seeking an Intern for the Systems Operations team. You will contribute to maintaining FreeWheel’s complex production/development environments and along the way work closely with global Systems Engineers to troubleshoot software and hardware issues. You will have the experience working inside a local server room and see firsthand the setup of racks and switches to operate a server environment. You will have the opportunity to work alongside top talent developers and production operations engineers in a fast growing tech atmosphere. This internship will also give you a chance to demonstrate and sharpen your detailed oriented, teamwork, plus analytical and problem solving skills. Aside from the technical aspects, the ideal candidate is someone who is self-motivated, reliable and a fun addition to the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Learn Enterprise solutions and deployment process (OS, NAS, SAN, DHCP, DNS, VM)
o Deep dive on Linux operating system (Red Hat Enterprise Linux/ Cent OS) troubleshooting skills
o Participate in centralizing and delivering FreeWheel’s next generation user access management platform
o Assist in the administration of local vm environment via Openstack, KVM, and Xen
o Help to write proper documentation for company process and policies
ABOUT YOU
o Strong UNIX fundamentals and basic system administration skills
o Familiarity with Linux System (Red Hat/Centos is a plus)
o Good understanding of network concept (Subnet, TCP/IP, SNMP)
o Familiarity with programming/scripting (Java/Python/Java/Shell is a plus)
o Able to lift 15kg to rack servers
o Fluent written and verbal English language skills

o Advisory Service
Advisory Service是FreeWheel对媒体客户提供的业务咨询服务。基于客户在FreeWheel平台上的大量数据，我们分析视频广告行业的趋势并提供季度行业分析报告。同时我们基于客户数据挖掘反应其业务表现的深层次信息，并基于这些信息帮助客户分析和改进业务。
核心技术
o 库存预测
综合考虑历史观看流量、视频内容季节性以及突发事件等因素，预测媒体客户未来长达18个月的视频观看流量并以此指导客户的广告销售策略。
o 受众定向
基于FreeWheel和第三方数据管理平台(DMP)生成的上亿用户画像，根据用户的年龄、性别、职业、收入以及购物兴趣等标签进行精准广告定向和投放。
o 广告决策
在百万量级并发请求的条件下综合考虑媒体收益、曝光转化率、承诺曝光次数、投放速率、频次控制以及广告排他性等因素，做出快速准确的广告投放决策。
o 广告测量
支持包括点击、可见曝光在内的多种行业标准广告测量方式，基于机器学习方法预测特定用户在特定视频观看场景下的曝光转化率并以此指导广告决策。
o 优化变现
作为为媒体客户服务的供应方平台，在包括媒体自卖广告、广告网络、广告交易平台、需求方平台等多种变现渠道中为媒体选择最优的流量变现方式。
o 数据分析
基于每天TB量级的广告投放日志，通过实时计算和离线计算生成各类业务报表和广告结算账单，并通过对数据的分析和挖掘帮助客户了解和改进业务。
