ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
Freewheel Media, Inc., a leading fast growing Video Adserving company is seeking an Intern for the Dev-Operations team. You will contribute to our monitoring platform and understand how a global business runs utilizing thousands of servers operating under a complex applications matrix. You will learn modern practice of software delivery including the model of operating an advanced software system and the concept of continuous deployment. You will have the opportunity to work alongside top talent Engineers in a fast growing tech environment. This internship will give you a chance to demonstrate and sharpen your detail oriented, teamwork, plus analytical and problem solving skills. Aside from the technical aspects, the ideal candidate is someone who is self-motivated, reliable and a fun addition to the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Communicates with senior network engineers, upper management and internal clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions;
o Collaborates with other support teams for problem solution;
o Documenting network projects and assist to refine current topology files;
o Responsible for Beijing office daily network operation, including but not limited to LAN/WAN/Wireless;
o Automation scripts;
ABOUT YOU
o Good L1-L7 Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, NAT, IP Sec, GRE, HTTP);
o Some switch/router configuration experience;
o Familiar with programming/scripting (Python/Shell is a plus);
o Good knowledge on Unix/Linux System (Red Hat/Centos is a plus);
o Good interpersonal and team skills;
o Proficient written and verbal communication skills using English;
