Job Summary:
The Red Hat Software Quality Engineering (QE) team is looking for a Software Quality Intern to join us.
In this role, you will work as part of a team that serves as the final checkpoint before code is released.
You will mainly focus on researching, writing test plans and automating tests for storage focused features as part of Red Hat's OpenShift Virtualization project.
We are looking for an intern with development capabilities, Linux/Unix skills, and experience with storage, virtualization, containers, and testing infrastructure.
In this role, you will serve as an individual contributor in the OpenShift Virtualization QE Storage team, learning and increasing your skills, while working closely with other team members and the development team in an agile methodology.

Job Responsibilities:
Develop automated tests using automation infrastructure with Python and carry out manual tests.
Enhance and extend our automation and testing infrastructure.
Clearly document new bugs, work for resolution with developers and communicate their impact on customers.
Deliver clear status for testing areas in a timely manner.
Constantly learn new things and maintain an overview of current technologies.

Job Requirements:
Student of Computer Science or Software Engineering with ±2 years of studies remaining before graduation.
Basic knowledge of the Linux or UNIX operating systems.
Coding abilities using Python and shell scripting.
Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.
Willingness to learn new things.
Experience with storage, cloud, networking, or technologies is a plus.
