岗位：【AI集群能效基准测试与分析-全职实习生, 1名】

1、工作职责：
Modern data centers are built over highly sophisticated plans for their electrical power distribution. It largely impacts the business benefits to design right servers and clusters for the best performance within a given power envelop. This is applied the same for Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications and the clusters for them, but it has been challenging to optimize their server/cluster designs due to the huge gap between the advances of end devices/systems and the business benefits over a real deployment. The business benefits are often difficult to measure by only a couple of metrics and require a lot of confidential information for evaluation, which makes it difficult to evaluate latest hardware improvements and optimization techniques. To close the gap, we develop power efficiency benchmarks for AI clusters that evaluate/simulate power efficiency of a given cluster, provide detailed analysis, and suggest a better design of servers/clusters. We especially focus on GPU-based system benchmarks that have been under-investigated so far. This project is under co-operation with our collaborators in Microsoft Azure. Obligations and responsibilities:
- Investigate & analyze power usage of GPU-based systems under AI workloads;
- Design & implement an accurate and reliable power model for AI workload analysis;
- Design & implement GPU-based system benchmarks for power efficiency analysis;
- Contribute to benchmark tools by code.

2、职位要求：
- Familiar with C/C++/Python and mature engineering skills on Linux;
- Knowledge & experience on AI and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch;
- Fluent communication in English.

3、具有以下条件者优先：
- Experience in writing GPU applications and GPU kernels is highly preferred;
- Experience in research on computer systems is preferred.
