Hyper-V Enhancement in XOsoftTM

In today’s tough economic and competitive environment, the business can’t afford any downtime — a single loss or interruption could mean irreparable damage. CA XOsoft software family enables the high availability of mission-critical applications and data. XOsoft supports Microsoft Hyper-V server protection, this project aims at Hyper-V protection enhancement in XOsoft.

1. What is virtualization?
Virtualization is a method of running multiple independent virtual operating systems on a single physical computer.  It is a way of maximizing physical resources to maximize the investment in hardware. 

2. What is Hyper-V?
Hyper-V is one of Microsoft virtualization solution. Within Hyper-V, we can run multiple virtual machines (include Windows and Linux) on one physical machine.

3. What does XOsoft do to protect Hyper-V?
XOsoft protects all the virtual machines in
Hyper-V server, if one of the virtual machine
in Hyper-V server is down XOsoft will create
another virtual machine to make customer’s
business run continuously.

4. What can you get from this project?
After finish this project, you should know virtualization technology, how to use hyper-v in enterprise environment, data protection software principles, write high quality code with c++, WMI, software development cycle and so on.  

Job Title：Software Development Intern
Key Responsibilities:
    Work with guidance from senior software engineers to design and code non-complex units/modules/products that meet functional and business requirements on schedule.
    Perform unit/module testing of software to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications.
    Design and develop testing/debug tools to facilitate software development.
    Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
    Participate in design and code reviews with other developers.
    Assist Quality Assurance Team by providing assistance to testers and support personnel as needed to determine system problems and the development of test plans.
Job Requirements:
[Basic]
    BS/MS candidate that will finish school in year 2010 and major in Computer Science or any related technical field.
    Master at least one popular programming language: C/C++, C#(.NET) or JAVA.
    Good English skills: Bachelor (CET-4) / Master (CET-6)
    Good communication skills and learning capability

[Optional]
    Experience for Linux (Redhat, SuSE) or Unix (AIX, Solaris, HP-UX) is a big plus
    MFC, .NET WPF/WCF or Windows system programming skill is a big plus.
    Programming skill in script (one of Python, PHP or Perl) and regular expression is a big plus.
    Experience in enterprise applications (like SQL Server, SharePoint) is a plus
    Windows or Linux kernel knowledge and/or programming skill is a plus

Job Title: PM Support Intern
Key Responsibilities:
    Support Program Manager/Project Manager to perform project routines.
    Work with project team tracking project status in regular base to make sure project objective delivery on time with high quality.
    Assist Program Manager/Project Manager consolidate project data and formulate related reports.
    Maintenance project historical data and do some basic analysis.  
    Using project management tools to make resource allocation, task creation and other project activities.
Job Requirement:
    BS/MS candidate who major in Computer/Electronic Engineering related.
    Good English skills(Listen/Oral/Read/Write): Bachelor (CET-4) / Master (CET-6)，
    Familiar with Microsoft Office.
    Interested in IT project management.
    Good communication skills and excellent teamwork.

职位介绍与主要职责：
    协助项目经理管理项目日常工作
    与项目团队紧密合作，追踪项目进程，确保向按时高质量的完成
    协调项目数据并形成项目相关报告
    维护项目历史数据并完成初步分析
    使用项目管理工具进行人管分配，任务创建及其他项目管理活动。

职位要求：
    计算机科学及相关专业
    全面的英文能力（听/说/读/写）: 学士(CET-4)/硕士(CET-6)
    熟悉Microsoft Office相关软件
    对项目管理工作感兴趣
    良好的沟通技巧及优秀的团队合作精神

1 在北邮，北交大，北理工，北航，清华等重点大学取得学士学位者优先（注意：不是硕士）

       2003年9月～2007年6月 重庆邮电大学计算机学院 计算机科学与技术专业学士

2具有Windows操作系统平台上实际项目经验者优先。
反例：控制台运行于Nokia移动终端…

3 获得计算机、数学、物理等学科竞赛奖者优先

4 连续获得大学高等奖学金者优先

5 计算机专业者优先
