We provide advice on asset allocation, manager selection and portfolio construction through advisory relationships and discretionary strategies.

Under this paid summer internship, you will get an exciting and wide exposure to a variety of financial tools through top managers in the region .  You will learn how fund of funds and direct investment in private as well as public market work in the region, build relationships and carry direct conversations with top managers.  This junior analyst job is perfect for a fresh master's or MBA graduate in related fields to learn and prepare a career in financial services.  Learning curve is steep and so is the reward.  

Job Description
• Full time 6 months paid internship based in Beijing, with the potential to extend internship or full time position (Time requirement is essential and only recent graduates will be considered)
• Under the guidance of senior staff to perform first and second hand macro economic and financial research
• Assist in the analysis of investment performance and portfolio structure using basic portfolio analysis tools
• Support monitoring of existing fund managers and evaluating potential new managers and direct & co-investment projects
• Responsible for the development, preparation, analysis and review of standard and ad hoc investment reports, including outstanding investment commitments, portfolio asset allocations, performance reports, and fund portfolio analysis
• Attend meetings with public and private fund managers and write timely meeting minutes

Requirement
• Chinese national with minimum of finance / economics / accounting at master's level or MBA from Tsinghua University, Peking University or Renmin University.
• Strong computer software skills is a must: Microsoft Excel, Access, etc.
• Self Starter, excellent interpersonal, problem solving and strong analytical abilities, detail-oriented
• Fluent in reading and writing of Chinese and English
• Complete the attached assignment

Assignment
• Please complete the following task by August 9.  No application will be considered without a diligently prepared original report
• Topic: "Overview of Chinese Mutual and Hedge Fund Managers in the A-Share Market".  Please list the major players, AUM, history, historical returns, fund strategy, industry focuses, plus your own analysis of the fund and the manager
• Length: 5-10 pages, single spaced
• All data sources must be carefully documented
