Introduction of Computer Vision Research at CUHK Multimedia Lab and MSRA
--Internship at MSRA and Graduate Study in Hong Kong and the U. S.
In the first half of this talk, I will give an introduction to our research on computer vision at the Multimedia Lab of Chinese University of Hong Kong and MSRA in the past few years. I will show some results and demos on topics ranging from face photo processing, internet image search, to photo editing. Finally, I will spend some time to talk about our recent work on image dehazing, which won the CVPR Best Paper Award out of 1460 papers submitted this year.
In the second half of the talk, I will talk about internship opportunity at MSRA and graduate study opportunity and experience in my lab and in top schools in the US. It is based on my own study experience at MIT and experience of my recent students who are now studying at MIT, Stanford, Columbia, and Cambridge. This part of the talk is useful for students who are interested in internship at MSRA and intend to apply for graduate study oversea.
Location: Tsinghua University, Main Building – Room 511 (中央主楼511)
Time: Monday, Sept 21st, 7:30pm
