Microsoft Research Asia is recruiting interns for Stars of Tomorrow Internship Program.

Group Overview
IRM is a group working on information retrieval and data mining. The mission of IRM is to deliver world-leading levels of accuracy, coverage, and ease of use for search by developing world-leading machine learning and data mining algorithms. We focus on learning to ranking, log mining, concept based search, enterprise search, and other related areas.
Currently we initiate a new project on academic search. We’d like to improve the coverage and freshness of academic search dramatically and provide an improved user experience to users.

Roles & Responsibilities
Position 1: RSDE
Implementing classification tasks and conducting some experiments;

Position 2: SDE
Developing web applications;

Required Qualifications:
Position 1: RSDE
1.    Has solid coding skills (especially skillful with c#);
2.    Has creative think and strong problem solving skills;
3.    Better to have text processing and machine learning/pattern recognition background;
4.    At least 6 months fulltime internship

Position 2: SDE
Requirements:
1.    Has solid web developing skills (especially skillful with c# and Java Script);
2.    Has strong problem solving skills;
3.    Better to have web search experience/background
4.    At least 6 months fulltime internship
