Biz Group overview: IT Research inside the Information Technology Group is chartered to carry out research on information technology, identify and create innovative IT solutions in the IT industry, and work to enable and lead in new IT technology and solutions.
Intel's Information Services and Technology Group (ISTG) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware and/or software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. ISTG is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.
IT Research group at Intel Beijing is looking for an intern at Ph.D or MS level from a major university in China to join our research effort on Mobile Augmented Reality (MAR) and on developing MAR applications. In this position, you will be a member of a R&D team in China working with key partners in US, responsible for investigating into the latest research and technologies in the area of Context-aware Computing, evaluating wireless location technologies and solutions, and building research prototypes in our Beijing lab. In addition, you will be expected to contribute in documentation and publications in the context of enterprise applications.
You must be a Ph.D. or a Master of Science degree candidate in Computer Science in a leading university in China. Additional qualifications include:
- A passion in Computer Science for emerging mobile technologies and applications
- Expertise in wireless networks, mobile communication, and mobile applications
- Strong in Linux*, Windows*, and common computer languages including C, C++
- Strong ability and interest in doing systematic research and hands-on work
- Strong ability to work independently without supervision and deliver desired results
