Magnetar is a leading alternative asset manager, with over $6.5 Billion assets under management and over 220 employees.  Magnetar has a diversified set of investment businesses, including in equities, fixed income, and energy.  Many of these strategies are highly quantitative in nature, and require substantial, leading-edge quantitative support and infrastructure.  
Magnetar was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Chicago.  Our Beijing office was founded in 2006 and opened in 2007.  

Job Description
1,10-12 weeks, full time Internship Program, in one of
Magnetar offices( Chciago, New York, Beijing or London).
2, The opportunity to work directly on a real-time project for a front office investment team.
3, Supervised directly by either senior Finanial Engineering Team leaders, or by Portfolio Managers.
4, The opportunity to rotate to different investment strategies upon sucessfully completing the initial program.

Qualification
Ideal candidate are very bright and analytical;Communicate effectively in both Chinese and English;Work well in teams, and extremely motivated and industrious.They possess a strong foundation in mathematics and sciences.
They demonstrate in their background drive and achievement.They demonstrate a keen interest in financial markets, though past experience in financial markets is not a pre-requisite.
