IT Research inside the Information Technology Group is chartered to carry out research on information technology, identify and create innovative IT solutions in the IT industry and work to enable and lead in new IT technology and solutions.

Intel's Information Services and Technology Group (ISTG) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware and/or software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore and enterprise applications. ISTG is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.

Job Description: Responsibilities may be quite diverse of an exempt technical nature. Experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.

You must be a PostDoc or Ph.D. of Science degree candidate in Computer Science focusing on IP communications and security. Additional qualifications include:
- Solid background on IP related protocols and Mobile IP
- Deep understanding and knowledge on Security (IPsec, security in mobile networks, EAP, 802.1i)
- Strong background in mobile and IP networks
- Good programming skills including C, C++, and Java*
- Self-motivated and be able to work independently as well as a team member
