Intern-BEIJING, CN [CERA]
IHS Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA) is looking for superior talent for an internship in China. In this role, the intern will not only add immediate value to our work, but will also learn a great deal about our business and the energy sector in general. The individual will work with some of the world's thought leaders in the energy sector and gain valuable hands-on experience.
Based in our Beijing office, the intern will support the China Energy Advisory Service in its retainer research with a focus on the electric power sector and will report to the lead China power sector analyst.
Responsibilities
• Help to organize historical power sector data, including demand by sector, generation fuel/technology mix, key performance indicators, among others.
• Assist in updating CERA’s China Energy Provincial Profiles in PowerPoint, ensuring data and graphic accuracy and consistency.
• Contribute to CERA’s scenario-based energy modeling and data gathering process.
• Support other ongoing research and consulting activities and help frame research topics.
Qualifications
• Keen attention to details and excellent analytical skills.
• Fluency in English (speaking, reading and writing) and Mandarin Chinese, with strong bilingual ability to navigate various published sources to locate key data and information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Preference given to candidates with prior experience or academic training in energy-related fields.
