Measurable results expected from the intern:
Ø Ability to explain banking products to clients
Ø Ability to explain and follow banking processes and perform tasks assigned

Ø Improvement in selling and marketing skills
Ø Experience in banking processes and particularly corporate banking
Ø Practical experience of credit assessment of businesses
Preparation required from the intern before arrival:
INTERN WILL BE WORKING IN THE SIERRA LEONE OFFICE AND WILL FLY THERE DIRECTLY
Ø Gain some background information on banking activities and on the Sierra Leone market

INTERN WILL BE WORKING IN THE SIERRA LEONE OFFICE
Intern will be assigned to the corporate banking unit which manages corporate clients of Standard Chartered Bank. Main focus will be on the portfolio of Chinese companies that are working with the bank. Intern will work with the marketing officers to improve on the bank’s business with these clients hence the intern is expected to understand the products of the bank and be able to interact with clients explaining the bank’s products and services to them. He/she should be comfortable with English so as to be able to interact with colleagues in the bank.
