Job Description:
IBM i (formerly known as system i, iSeries or AS400) is one of
IBM's server families. It is an all-in-one sum of hardware, OS,
database, security, middleware, and storage, and embraces UNIX,
Linux, Windows and i5/OS. With IBM i, you can simplify and secure
your IT infrastructure with high flexibility, which really saves
time and money.

The compiler team in CSTL (China System and Technology Lab) IBM i
organization has been working closely with IBM Rochester Lab
(Minnesota, Unite State) to deliver new releases of ILE (Integrated
Language Environment) C/C++ compilers and provide continued
programming support for our world wide customers. Our compiler
products have been widely used by IBM i ISVs (Independent Software
Vendors) as well as IBM i itself development. We are looking for
compiler background professionals to build a strong technical team.

The individual must have great passion for the most advanced
compiler and runtime technology.

The job responsibilities include,
- Develop ILE C/C++ compiler front ends for IBM i extension;
- Provide L3 support for IBM i ILE C/C++ compiler customer;
- Develop and support C/C++ cross compilers for lab development;

Required Skills:
Practical experience with an expert understanding of C and C++
programming languages;
At least 3 years working experience on compiler
development/research is required; Experience on front-end (syntax
and semantics analysis), intermediate representation optimization,
inter-procedure analysis (aka. IPA) is a good fit.
Deep knowledge on one of these domain is a big plus: computer
architecture, processor technology, program model and language
runtime;
Working experience with Unix/Linux is a plus;
Working experience demonstrating problem determination skill is a
plus;
English fluent in both written and oral;
Excellent communication skills;
Self-motivated and demonstrated teamwork.

Qualifications(Education/Major/Certificates):
Bachelor, Master or PhD. degree in Computer Science or
Electrical/Computer Engineering.

Job Name: Compiler testing
Job Type: Intern
The individual needs to have great passion for quality assurance,
problem-solving on the most advanced C and C++ compilers in the
industry. His/her major responsibility will be ensuring the ILE
C/C++ compilers build code written upon the latest language
standards correctly and efficiently on IBM i platform.

The job responsibilities include,
- Perform function testing and regression testing for ILE C/C++
compilers;
- Develop and modify test cases that represent IBM i platform
specific language extensions;
- Study up on the very latest C/C++ language standards and port
new test suites generally accepted in the industry for ILE C/C++
compilers;
- Apply good problem determination skills while investigating
failures.

Job Requirements (skills/experience):
Practical experience with good understanding of C and C++
programming languages;
Compiler working experience is an big plus;
Working experience with Unix/Linux is a plus;
English fluent in both written and oral;
Excellent communication skills;
