VMware is seeking talented Computer Science or Computer Engineering interns to join our Core Platform VC QE team.
Your duties will include:
- Performs testing on VMware Flagship Virtual Infrastructure products
- Write and update test documents, test cases
- Enhancement and creation of QA Automation test scripts and configurations based on project needs, execute automated test and analyze test results
- Develop tools for the QE team
Requirements:
- Majoring in Computer Science or related is required
- Able to work at least 4 days/week for 6 months or longer
- Linux/Unix and Windows environments and OS knowledge
- Working knowledge and hands on coding experience in one or more of the following programming: Perl, Shell script, Java
- Understanding of PC peripherals (storage, USB, etc)
- Networking knowledge
- Good trouble shooting and debugging skills to find the root cause
- Excellent written and verbal English communications and organization skills
- Experience with SilkTest and or Python is a big plus
- Experience with industrial tool writing is a big plus
- Knowledge of software QA methodology is a big plus
- Knowledge of software life cycle is a plus
- Networking configuration/setup hands-on experience is a plus
