Description
In this position, you will be joining the DHG Platform Hardware Engineering Team and participate in the development of software modules and infrastructure for the Diagnostic Tools Suite. The diagnostics and test modules are used in the validation and test of DHG Consumer Electronics (CE) System-on-Chip (SoC) products, as well as the validation and test software development platforms that encompass complete audio/video solutions for the CE High-Definition Set-Top-Box and Digital TV ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Responsible to test and/or diagnostic software module development and debug
- Responsible for the documentation of developed software
- Improving performance and/or scalability of existing software modules and infrastructure


Qualifications
- Programming skills of C/C++
- Designing, coding, and debugging applications
- Debugging software and hardware issues
- Familiarity with traditional GNU tools, such as vi(m), find, grep, tar, gzip, gunzip, doxygen, and makefile.
- Programming skills of one of the following script languages: shell script and/or Python and/or BASH and/or Perl
- Knowledge of one of the bus protocols such as I2C, GPIO, SPI, PCI E, NIC, SATA, USB, and SMBUS
- Good problem analysis and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated self-motivated and capable to work independently as well as within a diverse multi-geographic team
- Fluent in English communication skills
- Experience with Linux development environments
- Knowledge of Intel x86 architecture would be an added advantage
